Installing the Zotero Browser Connector

The Zotero Connector allows you to save references directly from your web browser.

1. Supported Browsers

• Google Chrome
• Mozilla Firefox
• Microsoft Edge
• Safari (Mac only)

2. Installation Steps

1. Go to the Zotero Download Page:

   • https://www.zotero.org/download/

2. Install the Connector:

   • Under "Zotero Connector", click on the button for your browser.
     • Chrome: "Install Chrome Connector"
     • Firefox: "Install Firefox Connector"
     • Edge: "Install Edge Connector"
     • Safari: Instructions are slightly different (see below).

3. Add the Extension:

   • Chrome/Edge/Firefox:
     • You'll be redirected to the browser's extension store.
     • Click "Add to [Browser Name]".
     • Confirm any prompts to add the extension.
   • Safari (Mac Only):
     • The Zotero Connector for Safari is bundled with the Zotero application.
     • Open Safari.
     • Go to Safari > Settings (or Preferences) > Extensions.
     • Check the box next to Zotero Connector to enable it.

4. Confirm Installation:

   • An icon representing Zotero (a "Z" or Zotero logo) should appear in your browser's toolbar.
