About the JKM Library

This Website
  • Beverages and snacks are permitted in the Library and the computer labs.
  • Clean up after yourself!
  • Recycle and dispose of all waste properly.
  • Report any spills as soon as possible to the Circulation Desk.
  • The second floor of the Library is a designated quiet study area.
  • No group work should be done on the second floor, unless it is in one of the 3 group study rooms with the door closed.
  • All other areas in the library are appropriate for group work.
  • Please be aware of your surroundings and the fact that other people may be trying to get their work done.
  • Keep conversation noise levels so that those at your table can hear you, but those near you don't have to (you know, use your inside voice)
  • Individual study rooms on the second and basement floors of the library are checked out on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Reserve a group study room on the second or third floor of the library.

If you need to use a phone, you have the following options:

1. Call Boxes

  • Emergency call boxes are located throughout the campus, and provide a direct line to the campus police officers.

2. On campus calling

The computer labs in the library are: Lab 103, the 24/7 lab (room 106), and the IMM lab.

Lab Computers:

  • To log on you need a user name and password from IT. Contact IT Support Services for this information.

Printing:

  • Students are given $15 in print quota per semester. This translates to 300 black and white sheets. Color prints cost more. This quota resets January 1, May 1, and August 1. Students can view their quota on myChatham through Papercut and can purchase more prints at the Post Office.
  • A Chatham ID card is needed to release print jobs and can be done at any printer in the library or on campus.
  • There are 4 public printers in the library - one beside the first floor elevator, one near the IT Support Services desk, one in room 103, and one in the 24/7 lab.
  • The printers are also scanners.

Computer or printing issues? Call the IT Support Services at 412-365-1112. Librarians do not maintain computer lab equipment.
