Subject Headings are used to classify materials and can quickly help you locate relevant material. However, you can't make up your own subject heading, they are selected from a predetermined list. Here are some subject headings to use:
To apply subject headings, use the Advanced Search Mode in Discovery. In the Select a Field box, choose SU Subject Terms and then type in one of the terms above. Books, ebooks, and journal articles relating to that area will appear.
To find a book held by the JKM Library, search the Online Catalog:
If the library does not have a book you need, try E-ZBorrow, a consortia of libraries that share their collections.
*Ignore all books in E-ZBorrow that have a book icon with an 'e' on them. These are e-books, which cannot be requested. Instead look for a print version (no 'e' on the book icon).
There may not be an entire book written about your artist, however there could be a chapter or two.
You may not have to read an entire book! Academic works are written so that relevant sections/chapters are easily identifiable.
