Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh has a lot of great business databases. Remote access simply requires that you enter your library barcode. Select "Business" in the Subject dropdown menu and click "Find" to view the full list. Those must useful are:

• Business Source Premier: Contains information on all things business.
  • Helpful for: Finding articles about industries.
• Standard & Poors NetAdvantage: Provides in-depth S&P Industry Reports
  • MUST GO IN PERSON to a CLP Library to access these!

Meredith Grelli has pointed out that there may be an organization for your industry that provides market assessment and other useful data. While these most likely have membership fees, they are probably quite worth the cost.
