Our organization is devoted to the scientific study of all aspects of the biology of bryophytes and lichen-forming fungi

The American Fern Society fosters interest in ferns and fern allies. It does this via its newsletter "Fiddlehead Forum" and the American Fern Journal, its research journal as well as participation in scientific meetings such as the Botany conference.

The American Society of Plant Biologists seeks to promote the growth and development of plant biology, to encourage and publish research in plant biology, and to promote the interests and growth of plant scientists in general.

The American Society of Plant Taxonomists promotes research and teaching of taxonomy, systematics, and phylogeny of vascular and nonvascular plants.

The Botanical Society of America (BSA) 's mission is to promote botany, the field of basic science dealing with the study and inquiry into the form, function, development, diversity, reproduction, evolution, and uses of plants and their interactions within the biosphere. It seeks to sustain and provide improved formal and informal education about plants; encourage basic plant research; provide expertise concerning plants and ecosystems; and foster communication within the professional botanical community, and between botanists and the rest of humankind through publications, meetings, and committees.

The Society was founded for the purpose of unifying the science of ecology, stimulating research in all aspects of the discipline, encouraging communication among ecologists, and promoting the responsible application of ecological data and principles to the solution of environmental problems.

Through research, technology, and education, the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) promotes the professional practice of arboriculture and fosters a greater worldwide awareness of the benefits of trees.

The Mycological Society of America (MSA) is the professional organization of mycologists in the U.S. and Canada. It was founded in 1932.and the purpose of the Society is to promote and advance the science of mycology and to foster and encourage research and education in mycology in all its aspects.

The Phycological Society of America (PSA) was founded in 1946 to promote research and teaching in all fields of Phycology. The society publishes the Journal of Phycology and the Phycological Newsletter.
