During October we work to bring awareness to the serious issue of domestic and intimate partner violence that harms many regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, religion, education, or economic situation. According to the National Network to End Domestic Violence, more than a third of women have experienced rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner. In the United States an average of three women every day are killed by current or past partners. Supporting actions taken toward eliminating domestic and intimate partner violence is critical. This list of eBook titles on domestic violence can be found in the digital collection of the Jennie King Mellon Library and are free to access and read for those in the Chatham community. For many of us, action begins with awareness and education. Check out an eBook today.
