The Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) System organizes information into 10 broad areas, which are broken into smaller and smaller topics. Different topics are assigned numbers, known as "call numbers." For example, "Wrestling" is given the number 796.81.
The numerical order is followed in the stacks, with the circulating books beginning on the 2nd floor (with the 000s to the 600s) and ending on the 3rd floor (the 700s to the 900s). There are many other locations that will be denoted in the left column of the catalog display, along with other limiters (topic, author, item type...) to help refine your search and browse experiences.
