A distance student is a student who does not regularly attend class on either Chatham's Shadyside, Eastside, or Eden Hall campuses.
When accessing the library's electronic resources from off campus, you will need to login with your Chatham username and password. The login screen will appear prior to entering the database or other electronic resource.
When a resource is not available through the JKM Library's databases, distance students can use the library's interlibrary loan service, ILLIAD, to request resources that can be delivered electronically.
Currently, books (not journals) are not loaned from the JKM Collection or via ILLiad to distance students. To borrow print books, contact your local library.
Distance students can request print items from the JKM Library to be scanned and emailed.
If requesting a journal article, make sure of the print availability in the library by searching for the journal title in the Journals A-Z tab.
To request items, use ILLiad and indicate in the Status field that you are a Distance Student.
The requested material will be scanned and sent to your Chatham email address.
