IND200W: Introduction to Scientific Research: Latine Scientists

AAHHE prepares, supports, and advances Latinx/a/o/é students, faculty, staff, administrators, and community members through higher education to participate, lead, and influence in our society.

AMAE ensure equal access to financial resources for a quality education for Mexican American/Latino students at all levels, validate and affirm cultural and linguistic diversity, advise local/state boards, legislators, administrators, and faculty on educational and financial policy, work in partnership with parents and communities for the benefit of our students, and advocate for ongoing recruitment, retention, support, and development of Mexican American/ Latino educators and all others committed to a top quality education in the 21st Century for our students.

CAHSEE is a national educational and scientific non-profit organization based in Washington DC created by Latino scientists and engineers. Our mission is to prepare talented Hispanic and other underrepresented minority science and engineering students achieve academic excellence and professional success through CAHSEE's pipeline of rigorous educational and leadership development programs.

The Latino STEM Alliance partners with schools, private industry, community groups and academia to bring STEM experiences to underserved youth that otherwise would not have such an opportunity.

The purpose of this society is to promote the professional well-being and recognize the accomplishments of Hispanic physicists within the scientific community of the United States and within society at large. The Society seeks to develop and support efforts to increase opportunities for Hispanics in physics and to increase the number of practicing Hispanic physicists, particularly by encouraging Hispanic students to enter a career in physics.

SACNAS is a society of scientists dedicated to fostering the success of Hispanic/Chicano and Native American scientists--from college students to professionals--to attain advanced degrees, careers, and positions of leadership in science.

SHPE changes lives by empowering the Hispanic community to realize its fullest potential and to impact the world through STEM awareness, access, support and development.

MAES's mission is to promote, cultivate, and honor excellence in education and leadership among Latino engineers and scientists. MAES is the foremost Latino organization for the development of STEM leaders in the academic, executive, and technical communities.
