Every December and January, the JKM Library runs its Clear This Display contest for all Chatham students to participate in and win prizes! Library workers pack the main book display and the vitrines with as many fun books and movies as they can fit, and it is the duty of Chatham students to check out so many items that they clear the whole display. No class has ever been able to do it…yet.
The rules are simple:
- Be a Chatham University student.
- When checking an item out, be sure to fill out the slip that comes with it, then submit your entry at the circulation desk after check-out.
- Enter as many times as you want! One entry per item checked out from the display.
- Take items home and enjoy! Books aren’t due back until April.
And there are prizes!
Two lucky students will win Study Survival Kits packed with goodies, including the winners’ favorite snacks! We will draw winning names after the contest closes, and winners will be contacted by email.
The specific dates for the contest change every year based on the academic calendar, so be sure to pay attention to the posters on the display itself. If you have questions about the contest, you can ask at the main service desk on the first floor. Good luck!
