Have a librarian come to your class to teach students how to effectively search for and use information. To schedule a library instruction session contact your library liaison. Instruction sessions can include, but are not limited to:
Teaching online? Not a problem! Librarians have provided instruction through Moodle and can also utilize available video conferencing technology to provide instruction to online classes.
Librarians are always eager to work with faculty to help students understand the depth and breadth of the resources available to them. Please get in touch with your liaison to discuss the instruction possibilities.
If you need an article that the JKM Library has in print, we will scan and email it to you. To request an article, simply submit your request through the Journal Article request form in ILLiad.
Faculty may allow their student assistants to retrieve materials for them from the JKM Library. In order to set up a proxy borrower account for a student assistant, a faculty member should contact the Head of Access Services, noting the name of the student assistant and indicating that permission is granted for that student to check out materials on his or her behalf. Please note that by requesting a proxy borrower account, you agree to the following:
Course reserves are materials (such as books, articles, films, etc.) which have been given a limited loan period at the request of a faculty member, usually for a class. These materials can be either selections from JKM Library's collection or a faculty member's personal copy. Follow this link for complete information on course reserves.
Faculty may recommend that books and other materials be added to the Library's collection. Simply send your recommendations to your liaison librarian, or fill out a recommendation form.
