The Snowdon Mesoamerican Collection was donated by the family of Charles and Ruth Snowdon and includes a wide range of materials on Mesoamerica. It contains an excellent selection of materials on South and Central America, and in particular the history, archaeology, and anthropology of those areas.
Ruth J. Snowdon's personal papers document her trip to the Yucatan in 1936-37, her involvement with the Tikal Project at the University of Pennsylvania, her involvement with the John Lloyd Stephens Memorial Plaque Committee and dedication, her friendships with archaeologists and historians in the field, and her overall enthusiasm for Mesoamerican history and archaeology.
