We welcome you to visit the University Archives in the Jennie King Mellon Library, or to contact us by email using our online form. Researchers are welcome to schedule a meeting with an archivist to discuss their research project.
To discuss integrating archival collections into your classroom, please contact the Chatham Archives. Instruction and Learning with Chatham History Materials:
Instruction on the use of primary sources for research and learning is an important part of the mission of the Chatham University Archives. The Archives staff works closely with faculty to develop and support critical learning skills through assignments, presentations, and projects that utilize material in the Chatham University Archives.
Fees for reproduction requests are assessed in accordance with the Reproductions Fee Schedule. Please see our Reproduction Request Form and contact the Chatham Archives with any questions.
Permissions and Reproductions:
The Chatham University Archives is happy to provide reproductions of materials in the collections and permissions for collections use whenever possible. Patrons are permitted to take photographs of the collections during research visits.
Campus tours, open to the public and to the Chatham community, are offered on a semi-regular basis and social media platforms, such as Instagram and Facebook, present material to a distributed patron community. For information about public lectures, tours, exhibits, or features, please reach out to the Chatham Archives.
Exhibits and Outreach:
The University Archives prepares regular programing and exhibits to enhance the student experience, alumni reunions, and special events. Exhibits of archival material are on view in select locations on campus to ensure regular engagement with stories of the university and the Chatham community.
Please contact the archives for a consultation about your donation. Donors within the institution will be asked to complete a Gift Delivery Form or a Records Transfer Form. Donors from outside the institution will be asked to complete a Deed of Gift.
Donations and Records Transfer:
As the official repository for records of long-term value to Chatham University and its community, the University Archives welcomes donations of materials and transfer of records from the departmental offices, faculty, student groups, alumni, and more.
